Five Tastes is a concept that was born out of the belief to have a creative, inspired and forward moving dining experience in places you’d least expect in the Jersey City / NYC Metro Area.

Born in Northern California, Chef founder Cedric Gayon relocated to Jersey City from Las Vegas to pursue an opportunity to work at Eleven Madison Park, one of the greatest restaurants in the world.

Previously working for James Beard Award Winning Chefs Shawn McClain and Wolfgang Puck. Mentored by Michelin Starred Chef Chris Heisinger and spending time at Restaurant Guy Savoy.

“13+ years working in restaurants of the highest caliber, I was eager to work in a space where I could take all the knowledge I’ve gained and share it with guests in a fun and approachable setting, not cutting back on the innovation and creativity.”

Five Tastes is a company built on a strong foundation but promotes the platform to share with other driven and passionate chefs. Collaboration is the way, not only to share knowledge but to allow individuals to express themselves genuinely with a combined concept to create a dining experience unlike any other.
